Serving Hungry and Hurting People Since 1997
For more than 25 years, San Bernardino City Mission has helped care for struggling people throughout our community.
Through Family Food Boxes, Bags of Hope meals, food assistance, hygiene kits, shelter support, rehabilitation programs, and compassionate outreach, the Mission serves people facing difficult circumstances every day.
Last year alone, the Mission helped provide more than 50,000 meals during the holiday season.
Many of the people we serve are:
- low-income families
- seniors
- veterans
- shut-ins
- individuals experiencing homelessness
- people facing unexpected hardship

A Simple Meal Can Restore Hope
Ruben once worked as a line cook and dreamed of opening his own restaurant one day.
But after losing his job, he lost his apartment and eventually found himself sleeping on park benches, struggling just to survive.
Then San Bernardino City Mission volunteers handed him a Family Food Box filled with food and essentials.
“It wasn’t just food,” Ruben shared. “It reminded me I wasn’t forgotten.”
That simple act of kindness helped restore hope during one of the darkest moments of his life.
Today, Ruben is rebuilding his life with renewed hope for the future.
